Heckfield Place is a beautifully restored hotel on a 400-acre farm in the county of Hampshire, just outside of London. In Marle and Hearth restaurants, we prepare food and drink that celebrates simplicity, the seasons, and a sense of place. We're honoured to hold a green Michelin star at Marle. Front of House is currently looking for an Assistant Head Host to join our F&B Team on a Maternity cover. (April 2025 to April 2026)
Position responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
- Assist to lead the host team efficiently, multi-tasking and ensuring customers are the focus.
- Assist the Head Host with the development of the team
- To be warm and gracious with excellent communication skills, striving to make things happen for guests.
- Highly responsible and engaging with a passion for food and great attention to detail and personal presentation.
- Follow up on all unconfirmed reservations for current lunch and dinner services.
- To be aware of and continuously update and revise our Heckfield local knowledge.
- Ensure the team are researching all customers, both in-house and external, ensure the customer database is constantly updated.
- Communicating wait times for guests and updating bar, restaurant and house team s accordingly.
- Oversee the Lobby service with table allocation, meeting, greeting and seating guests, when required, help with food and beverage service and processing bills.
